Using the tramway in Caen

A convenient way to travel in Caen is the tramway. There are 2 tram lines in Caen (lines A and B). Here is a map of the tram lines. The price of a ticket is 1,5 euro. A ticket is valid for one hour.

To buy the tram tickets, you must use the automatons which are available at every tram stop (payment with coins or credit card).

Be careful : you must stamp (punch) your ticket in the machines inside the tram.

Note : with the same ticket you can use every tram or TWISTO bus during 1 hour, but you have to stamp (punch) the ticket each time you embark. Other explanations can be found on the website of the company TWISTO, e.g. here .

There are also "10 journeys" tickets (12,70 euro), but you will probably not need such tickets because the student rooms and the lecture rooms are located on Campus 1, about 10-15 minutes' walk from downtown. See here for other kinds of tickets.
